Message & Updates from the president Ann Duggan

I hope drop offs are starting to get a little easier and your children are enjoying getting to know their classmates and teachers.  I just wanted to let you know about a few administrative matters –
The staff at the church asked me to let you all know that the external stairs at the church are under repair and while that is going on, we will all have to enter and exit through the door that is just east of our usual entrance, sort of in the corner.  Repairs should only take about a week, but are weather dependent so may take a little longer.
A couple of reminders for duty parents:
– If you have received your police check back, please bring it in for Miss Maria to look at. You will also need to show her your drivers license (or other proof of address / identity) when you bring it in.
– If you haven’t brought your medical form in yet, please also do that as soon as you get a chance.  The most critical part of that form is the TB test.  If you don’t have all your immunization records, please discuss with Lisa, but the TB test needs to be handed in as soon as possible.
We have had a couple of inquiries about changing from duty to non duty, or vice versa.  If you would like to make a change, please let Lisa Fabrizio know.  We cannot guarantee that we can make that change, however we will try to make changes to the extent that someone else is interested in making the switch with you.
We did set up a new email address to make it easy to notify the teachers if your child will not be at school on a certain day.  Please email if your child is not going to be in attendance.
I have also confirmed that we are on Sunnylea Junior School’s telephone tree in the event of a lockdown situation and therefore would be notified of any issues in the area.
I look forward to seeing you all at our next general meeting on October 4th at 7:30pm at the church.
