May Reminders

Please mark the following dates on your calendar!

May 8: Tea Party

Your Chipmunks and Beavers are to be dropped off upstairs in the Gym and tea party food contributions are to be dropped off in the Gross Motor Room (119).

Your children will meet you and your guests at 10:15 (G.M. room) and soon the fun will begin.

Kindly bring your tea set on Friday, May 4 in a box with your name on it.

May 15: Bliss Yoga Studio Visit

Strike a pose! We have booked a instructor to do a yoga session with the Beavers and Chipmunks.

If you own a yoga mat, please send it with your child(ren) on the day of and remember to label your yoga mat.

Don’t feel inclined to purchase a new one, we will have extra foam mats handy for those who need it.

Waiver forms need to be signed by parents so your child(ren) can participate in this activity.

Forms will be available at the school, and we’ll make sure your caregiver gets a form if they will be dropping off or picking up.

Forms are due on the day of the yoga session.

May 15: Photo Packages Due

Beavers and Chipmunks individual, siblings and group photos will be sent home on Friday, May 11.

Please send your completed order form back on Tuesday, May 15 as the photographer will come by in the afternoon to pick up.

Instructions about ordering, payment and kinds of packages available should be included with the photo proofs we will sending home with your kids.

A reminder that picture day is tomorrow (Tuesday May 1)… Children will be photographed as a group/class and individually. Proofs will be distributed and you will have the opportunity to purchase school photos…

Garage Sale Details

RYRNS GARAGE SALE – GENERAL INFORMATION

When:Saturday May 5, 2012-04-17
Time:8-1pm
Location:94 Thompson Avenue

The following are the proposed time slots:

Friday: 6-8pm
Note that all goods need to be dropped off within this time slot to the address listed above

Saturday: 7-9:00 am / 9-11:00 / 11:00-1pm / 12:30 – 2:00pm
We will be posting a sign up at the school. We expect four families per time slot. If you aren’t able to drop by the school to sign up, please email us.

We are looking for donations in the following categories:

1. Clothing– Sizes: 0-6 months / 6-12 months / 12months-2years / 2 years + (Please sort the clothing donations prior to dropping them off. We will have separate boxes for each age group)

2. Toys

3. Kids books

4. Strollers

5. Houseware items

6. Miscellaneous – please let us know in advance if there are other items not listed above that you will be bringing to the sale

Poster locations:
We will put together a list of proposed poster locations and send in a separate email. We will be requesting that people volunteer to place posters at different locations advertising the garage sale. We will also be advertising in different newspapers and have dedicated signage at key locations.

Set up:
Please let us know if you have any folding tables that you might be able to bring to the garage sale to display for sale items

Bake sale:
We will have a sign-up sheet at the school. We will have bake goods for sale from 8-1pm on Saturday.

Attendance/Participation:
Please note that participation in this event is mandatory and that the fundraising committee expects your support and participation to make this event a success; it is everyone’s responsibility.

Eater Egg Hunt Details

The hunt will take place on Tuesday at Lora Hill Park (weather permitting).
The Beavers are to meet at the school and will walk over to the park. If you are able to walk with the group that would be a huge help.
Miss Maria has asked for a 1:1 ratio for the Chipmunks. Feel free to walk from the school or meet us at the park.
Each child needs to bring an Easter Basket to school so they can collect eggs at the park.
Everyone is to bring 12 plastic easter eggs filled with candy to the school. Please make sure the eggs are taped shut so they do not fall apart at the park.
Christine will receive eggs in the parking lot and will hide them at the park.
